1. About Mining Dashboard
Mining Dashboard is a private, personal market-intelligence and research application. It is used by its owner to collect, organise and review mining-sector and merger-and-acquisition information.
2. Google and Gmail data accessed
Mining Dashboard uses Google OAuth to obtain read-only access to the owner’s Gmail account. It may retrieve email messages and associated metadata, such as sender, recipient, subject, date and message content, when that material is relevant to the owner’s Mining Dashboard research workflow.
Gmail access is read-only. Mining Dashboard does not send email, modify messages, change labels, move messages or delete messages.
3. Why data is accessed
Relevant source material is accessed so it can be ingested, organised and reviewed as part of the owner’s private mining-sector and M&A research workflow. Retrieved data and information derived from it are used only for this private purpose.
4. How data is shared and used
Google user data is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers or data brokers. It is not used for advertising, personalised advertising, marketing profiles or any unrelated commercial purpose.
5. Processing, storage and retention
Processing and storage take place on systems controlled by the owner. Retrieved and derived data are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the owner’s private research workflow, operational continuity and record-keeping, and may be deleted when no longer required.
6. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect stored information and OAuth credentials. These include restricting access to the owner, limiting Gmail permissions to read-only access and maintaining the application on owner-controlled systems. No method of storage or processing can guarantee absolute security.
7. Revoking access
The owner can revoke Mining Dashboard’s authorization at any time through the third-party connections page in their Google Account security settings. Revoking authorization prevents further Gmail access but does not automatically remove information already retrieved or derived; retained data can be deleted from the owner-controlled systems separately.
